International audienceDans le cadre de la Contre-réforme, Anne d'Autriche et Louis XIV ont fondé un séminaire en 1659 pour accueillir une partie de la diaspora irlandaise réfugiée dans le Midi de la France depuis au moins 30 ans, les éduquer, les ordonner et financer leurs études universitaires, de préférence en théologie. Les épaves d'archives de cette petite institution croisées aux bases de données universitaires aident à scruter les circonstances de cette création et à reconstituer ce corpus étudiant, mais aussi leur mode de vie loin des persécutions
